My One Year Lockdown-Vacation

It all started on July 13th 2019, two days after my 58th birthday. I was in Savannah, GA. on my truck driving job. I was at a place picking up an empty trailer when I slipped and fell between two trailers. It was a nice sunny day but there was a puddle of water where I slipped. As I was falling to the ground, my upper left arm hit the trailer on my left which caused the injury.

I saw the emergency room there, got looked at and X-rays. Nothing broken but I did have a rotator cuff tear. My company put me on a Greyhound bus home to Amarillo, TX. I had to leave most of my stuff in my truck. Some months later Mama Bear and her mom drove to Dallas, TX. To pick up my things from my truck at our terminal there after they had another driver drive my truck there. Now all the fun begins! LOL.

Since it was a Workman's-Comp injury, I got the runaround that I have heard from others. After that, I finely got off Workman's-Comp and had to use my own insurance and finely got my surgery on December 5th 2019. I started physical therapy but sometime before March 2020 I re-injured my arm and needed another surgery which took place March 17th 2020. Everything hasn't been as bad as it may sound. I have been getting the short term disability pay.

Mama bear has been working at a local grocery store and I have been helping at home with lightweight chores while still doing physical therapy at home. My entertainment has been mostly TV sleeping, Papa Bears Sirius XM Classic Vinyl Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/PapaBearRocks/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/papabearsxm/ and Redbubble online store I discovered and started. https://www.redbubble.com/people/papabearrocks/shop Well that is it in a nutshell. I have made a lot of Facebook music groups and have met a lot of AWESOME folks online and have become very addicted to all of it! LOL.

July 17th 2020 is my next Dr, appointment. It is then that I will find out what's next. Maybe and hopefully I will be released back to work soon.
