Country Music Family Report

Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie Presley’s only son, and Elvis Presley‘s only grandson, has died. He was 27 years old.

News of Benjamin’s death was first reported by TMZ and was later covered by The Washington Times and PopCulture.com. TMZ reports “Ben appears to have died Sunday in Calabasas from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Lisa Marie’s rep, Roger Widynowski, issued a statement through People to confirm that Benjamin had passed away:

“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley,” Roger said. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Benjamin was the second eldest of Lisa Marie’s four children. He and his elder sister, 31-year-old actress Riley Keough, were born to Lisa Marie and musician Danny Keough. Lisa Marie also shares 11-year-old twin daughters Harper and Finley with Michael Lockwood.

Not much was known about Benjamin, who usually kept out of the spotlight. He occasionally attended events with his sisters and mother, and was sometimes seen in photos Lisa Marie would share on social media.

Sad news: Actress KELLY PRESTON passed away earlier today of breast cancer. She was 57. She appeared in many movies ("Jerry Maguire", "Twins") and TV shows ("Medium", "CSI:Cyber") and could most recently be seen in the mafia bio pic "Gotti". Her last film "Off the Rails" is in post-production. Kelly Preston is survived by her husband of 28 years John Travolta and by their children Ella Bleu (20) and Benjamin (9); their son Jett passed away in 2009 after a seizure. Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this very difficult time. May she rest in peace. #RIPKellyPreston

My Favorite Radio DJ

My favorite radio DJ is Katherine Boyd on Sirius XM Classic Vinyl channel 26. I find her to be the best female DJ I have ever heard! She brings a certain spark and flair to her on air personality that is rarely found in other talented and experienced radio DJ's. Katherine Boyd Makes her job fun not only for herself but for the listeners.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

My One Year Lockdown-Vacation

It all started on July 13th 2019, two days after my 58th birthday. I was in Savannah, GA. on my truck driving job. I was at a place picking up an empty trailer when I slipped and fell between two trailers. It was a nice sunny day but there was a puddle of water where I slipped. As I was falling to the ground, my upper left arm hit the trailer on my left which caused the injury.

I saw the emergency room there, got looked at and X-rays. Nothing broken but I did have a rotator cuff tear. My company put me on a Greyhound bus home to Amarillo, TX. I had to leave most of my stuff in my truck. Some months later Mama Bear and her mom drove to Dallas, TX. To pick up my things from my truck at our terminal there after they had another driver drive my truck there. Now all the fun begins! LOL.

Since it was a Workman's-Comp injury, I got the runaround that I have heard from others. After that, I finely got off Workman's-Comp and had to use my own insurance and finely got my surgery on December 5th 2019. I started physical therapy but sometime before March 2020 I re-injured my arm and needed another surgery which took place March 17th 2020. Everything hasn't been as bad as it may sound. I have been getting the short term disability pay.

Mama bear has been working at a local grocery store and I have been helping at home with lightweight chores while still doing physical therapy at home. I have made a lot of Facebook music groups and have met a lot of AWESOME folks online and have become very addicted to all of it! LOL.

July 17th 2020 is my next Dr, appointment. It is then that I will find out what's next. Maybe and hopefully I will be released back to work soon.
